Appreciating our father's affection
Father's Day was originally recognized in 1966, when President Lyndon B Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there.
Father's Day recognizes and honors dads' contributions to their families and society at large. On this day, children can honor their fathers and father figures, as well as anyone else who has played a significant part in their lives. It could be an emotional, mental, or financial issue. By striving to be their best selves and allowing their children to see their flaws, fathers act as role models." Dads should also show unconditional acceptance, stability, and discipline.
The day of our fathers can be made by honoring and commemorating Father's Day. Fathers are the ones who help us grow and care for us, as well as bring happiness to our families.
